WELCOME TO MY BLOG!
The world of blogging is brand new to me and I hope that I can receive as much information and help from my fellow educators that I can.
I am very interested in finding new and exciting ways to integrate technology in my physical education/health classes. I welcome any new ideas that anyone may have to implement in the gym with my middle school students.
Roderick,
ReplyDeleteIt was difficult to read your text with the photographs in the background. It may be more effective to have all text in black on a white or off-white background. I would suggest you add a sound track to your movie. Our section had a time limit of 5-6 minutes.
Roderick,
ReplyDeleteI had a very difficult time reading the text over the graphics that you chose. I was not sure if the link to the sound was broken or if there was no sound inserted in the video. Sorry, I did not watch the whole video because of the difficulty in reading the text.
When viewing my video could everyone please view it in full screen. It will make it easier for you to see and understand the text.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Roderick
ReplyDeleteHi
I,too, had difficulty reading the text and there wasn't sound even when it was in full screen. Did you add sound?
Cynthia
Roderick,
ReplyDeleteYou have great cotent, but as others are commenting it is difficult to read the information. Maybe recording your voice speaking the text that is written while showing the pictures might make your message more powerful. Also, as Lisa Durff commented, music in the background along with everything really ties the whole thing together making a very professional looking product. Freeplaymusic.com is a great place to get copyright free music that you can use in situations like this.
Roderick,
ReplyDeleteI had a difficult time reading your text. Maybe reading the text instead of including it in the video will be more helpful to the viewers.
I tried everything to get my voice to work on the video but I could not figure it out. I would have just showed the pictures and talked the words but I could not get it to work.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried using Windows Movie Maker or Brainshark?
ReplyDeleteRoderick,
ReplyDeleteFirst let me say you have provided a great deal of important information. However, the above comments are very valid. I did view your presentation in full screen but still found it difficult to read with the color of the text and the background. Maybe you should have used a basic background and used the pictures as an insert. I have seen others be successful with video creation when they used PhotoStory 3, Windows Movie Maker, or other applications. These tools will allow you to use audio, video, pictures to create your video. I hope these suggestions will help you in the future.
I thought you had some great visuals. The information you provided was outstanding. I think putting so much information on each picture was distracting. I think you took a huge risk with your topic but it did come out all right and provided a learning experience for me.
ReplyDeleteNice job!
